General Skilled Migration Points Test
The purpose of the Skilled Migration Programme is to attract highly employable people for migration to Australia.
Below is a summary of points awarded for each requirement. Calculate the points from the table to determine if you score the minimum pass mark of 60 for the visas listed below:
- Subclass 489 Skilled Regional Sponsored
- Subclass 189 Skilled Independent
- Subclass 190 Skilled Sponsored
To apply for one of the above visas, applicants need to satisfy the following threshold requirements:
- be under 45 years of age at the time of applying for a visa.
- meet the threshold English language requirement of competent English.
- nominate and hold a skilled assessment for an occupation on one of the Skilled Occupation Lists at the time of lodging their application.
- provide evidence of recent skilled employment in a skilled occupation or have recently completed the Australian Study requirement.
